A GROUP of senior police officers in the north attended a workshop on Sunday to brief them on the decentralisation of the 2013 budgetary allocation for the Fiji Police Force.
Force chief administration officer Assistant Commissioner of Police Joseph Penjueli said all divisional police commanders would be responsible for endorsing financial transactions in their respective divisions and relevant senior officials at the headquarters in Suva would monitor the usage of the budget.
He added this would mean transparency and accountability within the force.
