THE Fiji Corrections Services has taken its Yellow Ribbon Campaign to Sigatoka.
Prison officials spread the message of acceptance for the inmates at a function at Lawaqa Park, which was attended by former inmates and residents of Sigatoka.
Chief Guest, the Turaga Na Ka Levu, Ratu Sakiusa Makutu said the launching was a testament of the vanua o Nadroga's support to the Yellow Ribbon Program. Speaking in the iTaukei language, he said the program was for community members and their willingness to accept former inmates into society.
FCS supervisor Westen Division Assistant Superintendent of Corrections Oliver Fisher said the participation of the vanua was vital for the success of the Yellow Ribbon Project.
