AUSSIE Rules (AFL) Fiji is preparing the senior boys team for the four Test match series against Nauru in Suva next month.
And to select a formidable side for these matches, AFL Fiji is holding trial matches every Sunday at Albert Park.
AFL Fiji official Lupe Wolfgramm said they were looking for the best 25 local players above the age of 18 years to lead the national team's campaign against the much-fancied opponents.
The national senior boys, otherwise known as Tribe Fiji, which won the Division Two of the International Cup last year, is probably the most successful AFL Fiji team.
"These matches against Nauru are really important to us. It's a one-off Test matches and it will definitely help us in the build-up for the International Cup in 2014," Wolfgramm said.
"We have been having weekly games between the Blues Cats from Nausori and City Swans from Suva to help us select the 25-member Fiji Tribe team for the Test matches."
Richard Bebovich, an expatriate who is helping in coaching the national side, said Fijian players do not lack the flair and fitness.
"It's probably how they play as a team is what's lacking in them. They have good fitness, skills and the flair is also there."
