ABOUT 500 participants turned up at Sukuna Park yesterday to participate in the Fiji Association of Sports and National Olympic Committee "Walk and Talk" event.
The event organised by the FASANOC Women in Sports Commission in conjunction with the Ministry of Health and Westpac is an annual event to support the fight against breast cancer.
Women in Sports Commission chairperson Susie Yee was thrilled with the turnout despite unfavourable weather conditions in Suva.
She said the participants also enjoyed themselves and took advantage of the freebies that were available during the event.
The Ministry of Health also gave information and health tips to the participants.
