REBELS continued its winning form in the Raiwai Volleyball Association weekly competition after beating Veterans in the final of their knockout competition yesterday.
Raiwai official Maika Kini said the powerful Rebels combination worked overtime to deny Veterans the win in the final at the Eagles courts in Raiwai.
Kini said Rebels had defeated Pulse in one semi-final 2-1 while Veterans stopped PFT 2-0 in their semi-final.
In the women's final, PFT beat Pythons 2-0.
Kini said the rain in Suva yesterday forced many teams to miss the knockout competition.
"Competition was good as the teams that took part in the knockout all came well prepared. We are calling on all registered clubs to come for our weekly competition next week."
Kini said they expected some new teams to join their competition next week.
"Some clubs have showed interest in joining Raiwai in this new season and we expect our competition to be in full swing from next Saturday," Kini said.
"The Water Authority of Fiji has also showed interest and they will be coming with a men's and women's team from next week."
