MARIST Blue continued its winning run in the Suva Volleyball Association weekly challenge after beating Saints in the feature match of the competition yesterday.

SVA technical advisor Iliesa Raketekete said Marist continued its domination of the weekly challenge after thrashing Saints 3-0 at the National Netball Centre courts.

Raketekete said Marist showed its finishing power to retain their in just three straight sets

"Marist proved they are the true champions as they combined well throughout the three sets," Raketekete said.

"Saints tried hard but they were not able to stop the Marist side from winning the title for another week.

"I had predicted before the game that Marist will win this challenge and they just clicked when they were on the court.

"It will be very hard to dethrone the champions because they just keep on improving their game every week."

Raketekete said Mighty Heights will challenge Marist next week.

"Mighty Heights will face Marist next week and I expect a much better performance from them," Raketekete said.

"They (Mighty Heights) are one of the old clubs in the competition but will be coming with some new players."

Raketekete said their competition finished on schedule yesterday even though they started late.

Raketekete said the competition was moved to the netball centre because of rain.
