SAINTS have to dig deep if it wants to upset FBC Challenge Cup holders Marist Blue today at the National Netball Centre in Laucala.
So says the Suva Volleyball Association (SVA) technical advisor Iliesa Raketekete, who added Marist Blue, remained the top favourites to retain the weekly Challenge Cup for another week.
Marist Blue, which won the SVA knockout tournament last month, has retained the Cup against two of its challenges.
Raketekete said Saints had not shown any major threat in the club competition that would jeopardise Marist Blue's campaign in the SVA weekly league.
He said the onus was on the challenger's to come up with a better game plan to outsmart the high flying holders.
"Analysing from the past performances, it will definitely be three straight sets to Marist Blue," Raketekete said.
"But in our challenge match, we allow the challenging team to field three players from other associations. Only two can play at a time. So it will be interesting to see what kind of players Saints bring against Marist Blue."
Meanwhile, the SVA is expecting its new clubs to join the men's competition today.
Celtics Two and Medics are the latest clubs that have shown interest in joining the association.
Raketekete said they were still trying to get the teams to start their women's competition.
The games will start at 9am.
