THE Tailevu-Naitasiri soccer side has put their Inter-District Championship premier division victory celebrations on hold.
The side faces Taveuni in the third match of the Fiji Sun/GP Batteries National Football Premier League play-offs next week.
Last Sunday, Tailevu-Naitasiri beat Taveuni 2-0 in the final of the IDC at Ba's Govind Park to reclaim the premier division title.
Eight days prior to that, the teams faced off in the first match of the play-offs series which Tailevu-Naitasiri won 1-0.
Twenty-four hours later Taveuni turned the tables to beat them by the same margin.
Tailevu-Naitasiri Football Association president Sundeep Roy said they would not celebrate their IDC win yet. He said it would only distract players as their season was not over yet.
"We still have one more match to go so we have not made any plans for any celebrations yet," Roy said.
"Right now, we have given the boys one week off to relax and recover from the hectic IDC tournament and they will resume training on Monday," he said.
The third match of the series will be played at Labasa's Subrail Park.
