THE Ratu Sukuna Memorial School Vuli Oti (old scholars) (RSVO) have given more than 1400 books to the school library.
RSVO book drive co-ordinator Merelita Rovi said the assistance was part of the RSVO vision to promote and enhance the school library.
"This is one of the many projects by the RSVO and the donation is the first of its kind for us," said Ms Rovi. "This is to boost the literacy level of current students.
"We want to make things easy for the students so they don't need to go out and do their research when they can do it here in school."
RSVO member Vasemaca Delai said they wanted to empower students and boost their knowledge.
Vice-principal Unaisi Vaileba said she was happy with the donation and hoped the books would be of value to the students.
