A 32-YEAR old man who allegedly murdered his wife and two daughters in Vatuwaqa last year appeared in the High Court in Suva yesterday.
Bimlesh Dayal who is charged with three counts of murder appeared before Justice Paul Madigan.
Justice Madigan ordered Mr Dayal to get further medical assessment from a psychiatrist at the St Giles Psychiatric Hospital.
State prosecutor Ilisapeci Whippy submitted that during their interview with the hospital psychiatrist, they revealed that Mr Dayal had not been attending his medical review.
She said Mr Dayal had not been attending his examination at the hospital.
She also questioned the reason for his absence on his review dates. Defence lawyer Irshad Samad advised the court that the appointments to the psychiatrist for his clients was in process.
"Things are still underway and we are enquiring his visit to the psychiatrist," Mr Samad said.
Mr Dayal pleaded not guilty in the High Court in Suva to killing his wife and two daughters between October 28 and 29 last year.
Justice Madigan has adjourned the matter to October 31 to follow up on the examination report.
