KAILA - Sixteen girls were part of the athletics squad who represented the school to the Fiji Finals on the 27th and 28th of April. Through their hard work the team brought back one gold and five silver medals.

Six gold, eleven silver and thirteen bronze were brought back from the schools swimming competition. This was the medal tally of the Saint Joseph Secondary school swimming team which is made up of fourteen girls. The competitions were held at Aquatic Centre on the 8th and 9th of June.

This term also sees various sporting activities in Saint Josephs training in preparation for the big game.

The hockey team and the under 19 netball team will focus on retaining their titles while the under 15 and 17 netball teams will be out to prove their worth.

It will be tough but the girls will just have to work hard to maintain fitness, improve skills, stick together as a team, communicate and support each other, says one of the coaches for the Hockey Team- Ms. Alice Crocker.

 Furthermore, the basketball teams are looking forward to a challenging and an enjoyable season.

Moreover, the volleyball team will participate in this years secondary schools volleyball competition after a one year break.

Hence, the girls are very grateful for the support given by the parents, school and especially the Alumnae for providing new uniforms for the different sporting activities.
