TODAY'S Fiji Fashion Week forum is aimed at all creative people in the country.

Tho forum will feature students and teachers, lecturers, fashion designers, tailors, artists and musicians.

Fiji Fashion Week public relations officer Lice Movono Rova said the forum would include anyone with an artistic inclination.

Mrs Rova said the forum trainers are either top local or international designers.

"The goal of the forum is to give potential fashion and design students the opportunity to learn the success of fashion designers and so the subjects range from the roles of fashion designers, how to become a fashion designer and how to sell online as a fashion designer," she said.

"Also they will learn about the changing face of fashion retailing and from New York designers.

"The Fiji National University is generously sponsoring the event so they will be hosting and covering all expenses - FJFW is honoured to have the support of so prestigious an institution."

Mrs Rova said the forum would be the first of its kind.

"We have run workshops and small programs in the past but this format, where the designers have to answer questions from the audience and where a wide look of the fashion industry is discussed, is a first for Fiji," she said.

"Designers who are making presentations at the forum have been asked by FJFW to speak on topics specific to them and which relate to their success.

"They are expected to also be able to discuss their presentations with the audience. The audience will be given time to ask questions to the designers."
