A REPORT on the Pacific transition to a low carbon, energy efficient economy was launched last week by the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) in Nadi.
ESCAP head Iosefa Maiva said the launch of Green Economy in a Blue World Pacific Perspective offered the first attempt at examining green policies.
Mr Maiva said green economy policies or tools may be used to promote inclusiveness and sustainable management and development of the Pacific Ocean and of Pacific Island countries. The publication further summarises recent global and regional decisions.
