A POLICE officer in the North has been sent to Suva to work with the Cyber Crime Unit in an effort to acquire information on the alleged production of pornographic pictures by a 36-year-old man in Labasa.

Police spokeswoman Ana Naisoro said the officer would work with the unit in terms of trying to get information from the seized computer and other related items.

"Investigations continue in relation to the alleged incident and there still hasn't been any charges against the man," Ms Naisoro said.

Last week the police took in a man and his son for the pornographic pictures allegedly taken by them.

The son has been charged with one count of abduction, appeared in the Labasa Magistrates Court and was granted bail.

It was earlier reported that the police were liaising with the Director of Public Prosecutions' office to determine the charges.

Ms Naisoro said all information would be released once they had compiled the results of investigation.
