TWO late goals from Kaliova Tivulu and Andrew Naicker helped Tailevu Naitasiri (T/N) reclaim the premier division yesterday.

After a scoreless first half, the Tagi Vonolagi coached side came up with a determined approach and utilised their opportunities well despite losing their captain Shiva Naidu to a red card.

Vonolagi praised his side for not buckling under the pressure and under the western heat.

He said after a scoreless half-time, he gave his side a stern wake-up call.

"I told them to make use of the full length and width of the field and our boys were allowing the opposition to kick long balls," the former national rep said.

"The boys did work according to the message and they didn't let their guard down even though we were leading 1-0 with a few minutes left on the clock," he said.

"I told them to play till the final whistle and that is what the boys did and that's how we got the second goal."

He said the plan was to win their way back into the Super Premier division for next season's competition.

"We have the promotion relegation coming up and this time around we would like to make it into the big league."

T/N has played in the promotion relegation for the last two years. Vonolagi is hoping their third attempt will be a successful one.

"We will continue training and try and work something out that will help us win the promotion relegation," he said.
