Ilaisa Drosese scored the lone goal to help Ba win its third primary school Courts Inter District Championship title yesterday.
The 13-year-old scored midway in the second half against arch rivals Lautoka at Ba's Govind Park.
The Togovere, Nadroga lad is the lone sportsperson in his family and he wants to become a national rep in the future.
Coach Timoci Seru thanked Drosese and the entire team for their efforts.
He said this was his first win as a coach and he could not have done it without the commitment of the players.
"I would like to thank the players, their families, their schools, teachers and headteacher and the Ba education officer for helping us retain the title," the former Tailevu North player said.
"The players really proved themselves today, despite the scorching heat, they stepped up and won us the title," he said.
Seru said he was available to coach the side for another year with his sights set on winning Ba its forth title.
Lautoka Primary Schools Soccer Association president Hirdesh Kumar said they would not stop trying until they win back the title they last held three years ago.
"We will go back and learn from our mistakes this year so that we can come back a stronger team next year," Kumar said.
