Tour for top four

The semi finalists of the Inter District Championship all get a trip to Australia to play in the Fiji Pacific Cup. The tournament will be held either in November or February. The top four teams are Navua and Lautoka from Pool 1 and Suva and Ba from Pool 2.

Jam packed

On the final day of competition at Govind Park in Ba, there were no seats empty. Spectators even sat on the steps and this restricted the movements of media personnel from their allocated seating venue. A space big enough for only seven people as allocated for the media high up on Pavilion B. There was only one power point available and there were about 12 media personnel from various companies.

Litter bugs

As the seats at Govind Park were a sea of colours, similary, behind the pavilions, there was a sea of rubbish. Spectators showed no regard for the environment or the allocated rubbish bins and just littered Govind Park. It seems like all the talk on keeping your environment clean has fallen on deaf ears.

Player award

Lautoka midfielder Zibraaz Sahib was awarded Player of Day 3. Day 2 player award went to Navua centreback Rajneel Chand while Day 1 player award went to Suva's Nathan Shivam. All award recipients were given a DVD player and a trophy.

Diligent workers

DURING the five-day Inter District Championship, two groups of people were diligent workers. The securities and the ball boys. The security personnel ensured all spectators went to their respective seating pavilions, did not speak to anyone harshly and kept rowdy fans from getting out of control. As for the ball boys, they didn't lose concentration while games were on and effectively provided balls when and where required. They even formed groups and played behind the nets during half-time and breaks.
