A FEW students from Sigatoka Andhra Sangam College created history for the school when they took out the national title of the country's annual Mathematical competition for a secondary school.
The group who competed against schools from around the country, including Ba's Xavier College won the title in the Form Seven category.
The students — Rhee Chaeyong (captain), Yogendra Naidu, Ratu Tevita Lalabalavu, Shweta Shivanjali Kumar and Vikash Reddy were overjoyed when they beat out some of the more renowned schools to take the title back to Sigatoka.
Head of Mathematics at the school Ravinesh Reddy said the school was very proud of the students' achievements.
"It showed their dedication and ability to perform under pressure," Mr Reddy said.
"They have certainly made the school proud of their achievements and made history for the school," he said.
