Fiji retains Gold Coast title

Update: 9:52PM THE Digicel Fiji 7s team defied all odds and successfully defended their Gold Coast 7s title at Skilled Park in Australia after humiliating New Zealand 32-14 in the Cup final a few minutes ago.

Speedster and new kid on the block Alipate Ratini scored a hat-trick, Joji Ragamate, Ilai Tinai and Levani Botia all scored Fijis tries. Fiji led 17-7 at the break. Ragamate and Ratini were later named in the Gold Coast 7s tournament dream team.
