Police release man on warning

A 36-YEAR-OLD man who was in police custody for allegedly taking explicit videos of his girlfriend has been released as investigations continue.

Police spokeswoman Ana Naisoro confirmed no charges have been laid against the man.

"The man has been released without charge but he has been cautioned not to break the law as investigations continue," she said.

"The alleged incident involving his 17-year-old girlfriend was brought to investigators' attention."

Meanwhile, the man's 17-year-old son who's been charged with one count of abduction, appeared in the Labasa Magistrates Court yesterday.

The student was alleged to have taken explicit pictures of his 16-year-old girlfriend, a student, on different occasions.

During a drinking party, the accused allegedly showed the pictures to others.
