New office opens
THE South Pacific Business Development (SPBD) Microfinance network opens its new office in Savusavu today. SPBD Fiji is a part of the most successful microfinance network in the South Pacific Region and the founder and President Gregory Casagrande will also be part of the opening occasion.
Annual island event
STRENGTHENING bonds and relationship, the people from Lau will hold their annual gathering tomorrow in Labasa. Known as the Lau Day, the event has proven to be a success as the villagers share traditional knowledge in handicraft work, cooking and costume designs.
Renovation plans
FORMER scholars of Ratu Kadavulevu School in Labasa have set their eyes on plans to renovate the school. Group secretary Viliame Tamanikaitani said they had already used more than $1000 on renovation work. "We are also preparing for the 90 years celebration of the school's existence which will be held at the end of the year."
