Naviti host

NAVITI Resort and Spa will be hosting the 29th Bilibili Race event at the Sigatoka River Bank next year. The announcement was made yesterday. Event organiser Una Murray said this year's event had many highlights which they wanted to lift to another level in the next competition. Naviti finished third in the overall points table.

Jazz flavour

THE Police Jazz Band provided an extra flavour to the 28th Bilibili Race in Sigatoka. It was a fun-filled day and with the jazz music, it lifted the spirit of the event as people were carried away to the rhythm. The band later entertained True Blue last night.

Double joy

IT was double celebration in Sigatoka yesterday. Firstly, it was the Fiji Day celebration which started with a march through the town before the 2012 Bilibili race was officially opened. Police Commissioner Brigadier-General Iowane Naivalurua was the chief guest at both events. Naivalurua acknowledged the efforts of hotel staff for their hard work that enabled the tourism industry to grow.

Sea of colours

SKY Blue was the colour that stood out at Sigatoka town during the 28th Bilibili race yesterday. The muddy coloured Sigatoka river was decorated with varieties of colours, mainly sky blue as people celebrated Fiji Day.
