NAVUA produced the first shock of the tournament and it looked like Nadroga would follow suit.
Sanjeshwar Singh netted first and Lautoka looked in trouble but Lautoka hit back with two late goals from Valerio Nawatu and former Fiji team goalkeeper Simione Tamanisau, who played upfront and drove home the winner.
The Blues won 2-1 but do not look that polished with Alvion Avinesh and Peni Finau.
Suva 2 Nadi 0
Nadi got off to a flyer and missed two clear cut chances. That came back to haunt them as Issa Sani grabbed a double in the second half. Suva is looking like the team of the tournament after the first day's play and I am not surprised given the amount of effort they have put into their preparation.
Nadi tried hard to contain the free-running Suva midfield of Nathan Shivam and Samu Kautoga by using Viliame Toma to hassle them but still the Whites were rampant
Ba 1 Rewa 1
Tuimasi Manuca drew first blood but young Iosefo Verevou equalised in the second spell.
Former Rewa and Ba star Ravuama Madigi was on the Reds bench as regular coach Marika Rodu played sweeper.
Rewa goalkeeper Epeli Loaniceva made a spectacular save from a fierce dipping Avinesh Waran Swamy strike.
Today's predictions
Premier: Bua 1 Seaqaqa 2; Lami 2 Dreketi 0; Tailevu Naitasiri 4 Nadogo 0; Nasinu 1 Vatukoula 0; Taveuni 1 Tailevu Naitasiri 1; Nasinu 2 Nadogo 0; Rakiraki 2 Dreketi 0.
Super premier
Labasa 2 Tavua 0
The Lions have the quality to bounce back and they will but they should not underestimate any team like they did against Navua and rested Pita Bolaitoga and only sent him when they were losing.
Nadi 2 Savusavu 0
Nadi will need to win big here but they won't have it all their way. Pene Erenio and Savusavu won't be easy to break down but if the Greens want to stay in the tournament, they will need to win and will.
Lautoka 1 Navua 0
The Blues will nick this one against the day one giant killers. Navua is taking a low-key approach as underdogs and that's helping them a great deal.
Suva 0 Ba 0
This will end in a draw. Suva will take a defensive approach having seen off Nadi and taking into consideration Ba's draw last night and will be happy with a point. Ba though will come out firing but Suva has the quality at the back to hold out.
