8.30am: Assemble and march from Y- Corner to Subrail Park, Ground 2, Labasa

9am: Arrival of chief guest Dr Samuela Bogitini and hoisting of flag

National Anthem — Nabala Student Band, release of Fiji Day balloons and cutting of celebration cake, marching group display — Nabala marching band and cultural items Labasa Sangam College, oratory contest and cultural items — Fijian meke, Rabi Dance Group, Island Dance Group, refreshments and fun.

1pm: Retreat RFMF Lowering of the Flag

Lautoka

Churchill Park

Today

8am: Assemble at Shirley Park

8.30am: March procession led by FNU and school bands through the city.

9am: Arrival of chief guest Minister for Local Government Col Samuela Saumatua and flag raising ceremony and National Anthem. Cutting of anniversary cake and cultural dances and items performed by schools and youth groups. Display of services by government ministries and departments and statutory bodies and refreshments for public. Student refreshments to be served by individual schools and visit to Special Schools Lautoka Handicapped School; Sunshine handicapped school, entertainment continues and refreshments and fun

2pm Celebrations close

Suva

Albert Park

Today

8am: Assemble at Flea Market

8.15am: March through the streets of Suva to Albert Park

9.55am: Albert Park — Arrival of the Prime Minister.

10am: Arrival of chief guest President Ratu Epeli Nailatikau, presidential salute followed by the National Anthem.

Review of the parade by the President and Military Marchpast and firing of the 21 gun salute

11.50am: End of formal ceremony

11:50am: Entertainment at Albert Park begins — Fiji Police Band, Kabu ni Vanua Choir, meke groups and other entertainers — refreshments and fun

2.30pm: Celebrations close

Levuka

Nausau Ground

8am: Handicraft competition and oratory contest and branding of Levuka poster competition and live demonstration of crafts people, traditional dances.

12-2pm: Public shows and police dog show, fire hazards and Smokey, First Aid techniques, fire drill and student dances. Entertainment, refreshments and fun

6-8pm: Religious program
