Free bus service

TO mark Fiji Day celebrations today, the government has provided free bus service to people who want to participate in the march from Suva's Flea Market to Albert Park this morning.

The free bus service will be for people living in the Suva-Nausori corridor, Waila, Naboro, Lami and Delainavesi main road.

Bus departing time is:

* 7am - depart Nausori via main Suva-Nausori corridor;

* 7am - depart Nausori via Sawani;

* 7.15am - depart Nepani via Ratu Dovi back road; and

* 7am - depart Naboro-Lami-Delainavesi main road.

The permanent secretary for Public Service Commission Parmesh Chand says for Fiji October brings an air of celebration of our achievements, provides an opportunity to showcase the richness and diversity of our land and people and encourages patriotism, nation-building and hope for the future.

"The theme 'Celebrate a United Fiji' calls for a united Fijian celebration of triumphs and a bright future for all our citizens," Mr Chand said.

He also urged all ministries and departments to participate in the march.
