Nabua 7s

The Nabua rugby club will be hosting a sevens tournament tomorrow at the Ratu Sukuna Memorial School grounds. 16 teams have registered for the one-day tournament. Top local sevens club Red Rock have entered two teams. Ravuka Sharks from Nadroga have also confirmed one team. Host Nabua used to be one of the top sevens team in the country in the late eighties and early nineties. The club also produced a number of former national sevens players.

Flying Fijians

The Flying Fijians team to play in the last round of the Pacific Rugby Cup tournament to be held in Nukualofa Tonga marched into camp yesterday. The team started training last week with a short camp but have come together for the final phase of preparations before flying out this Saturday. The Flying Fijians currently leads the 2012 PRC.

Cuvu volleyball

The newly formed Cuvu Volleyball Association will continue with its round one of competition at Cuvu College Hard Court this Saturday. Teams have been graded according to the results of the knockout last Saturday. Draws will be published in The Fiji Times on Friday. Naviti won the men's knockout title on the weekend after beating Outrigger in the final. Seniwi won the women's title after beating Stoppers in the final. Officials say more teams are expected to join the Cuvu competition.

Nadro knockout

The Nadroga Volleyball Association knockout for North-West Nadroga will be held at Momi Grounds in Savusavu this Saturday starting at 9am. Interested teams are welcome to join with the fee of $30 (Open Men and Women). Teams are to assemble at 8.30am. All clubs will be affiliated to NVA and will be selected for all FVF sanctioned tournaments under NVA.
