IN a bid to boost academic performance, the Holy Family Schools Ex-Scholars Reunion Association has given learning materials worth more than $21,000 to the school.
The association's newly-appointed international president Vera Chute-Laveti said the materials would help the students with their studies.
"Part of the material was donated by former scholars and the rest was purchased," Mrs Chute- Laveti said.
"The items have been equally shared among the primary and secondary schools — they include printers, facsimile machines, laptops, computers and sports gear."
Mrs Chute- Laveti said it was only proper for the association to give the items because existing ones were old.
"After the school reunion in August, it was decided that we facilitate the school because this is a way of reviving the education system that Holy Family School is known for and that is educating most of the brightest students in the country," she said.
"We raised more than $46,000 during the three-day reunion and part of the money was used to purchase the material.
"We will continue to support our school in whatever way we can."
