THE national golf team will need to improve in the remaining round of the World Amateur Team Championship in Turkey in order finish better than their two previous outings.
The Fiji team with Vikrant Chandra, Anuresh Chandra and Olaf Allen Jr was tied for 52nd spot in the third round when play was halted due to inclement weather conditions.
The national side was one of the many countries that were unable to tee off.
Allen Jr and Vikrant both from the Fiji Golf Club have carded 155 while Anuresh the Airports Fiji Limited fireman scored 163 after 36 holes.
Due to the bad weather conditions, the championship has been reduced to 54 holes.
In 2006 Fiji with Arvin Lal, Neelkash Ram and Allen Junior finished in 52nd position in Cape Town, South Africa.
In 2008 Fiji was tied in 48th position in Australia. The side included Sam Lee, Allen Junior and Ram.
Fiji missed out on the event in Argentina in 2010.
