HAVING some of the world's best dive spots enticed Shiila Takaoka to Fiji.
But upon experiencing the warmth of the people and discovering the talent of a local artist, the Hong Kong resident has promised to return to our shores again.
Diving off the coast of Taveuni last week, Ms Takaoka was mesmerised by the abundant marine life and especially the many species of parrotfish darting around coral outcrops.
"My first time to Fiji was in August this year and being an avid diver I was attracted to a painting of a parrotfish done by a local artist. I was so taken by it.
The artist Aseri Yabakivou said he was glad that the work he was doing was touching people's lives.
