NO dates have been set by Pacific Sun to resume flight services to Labasa.
A statement from the company said: "We're unable to give a date for resumption of operations, as we await feedback from Airports Fiji Limited with regards to the runway."
Pacific Sun has not resumed services to Labasa since the Waiqele Airport re-opened after a short period of closure last month for maintenance and upgrading work on the tarmac.
The company has continued to use the Savusavu Airport for services to Vanua Levu.
It also hired an independent New Zealand civil engineering company Downer Ltd to inspect the tarmac. As a result, the company was given a Labasa Airport inspection report by Downer Ltd to help them determine actions that would allow resumption of large commercial aircraft operations.
AFL was also given a report of the inspection carried out by the NZ company. Northern Air Services airline has resumed services to Labasa after the opening of the tarmac on September 13.
