EARLY morning rain in Suva resulted in the cancellation of the Tamavua Singles competition at the Suva Bowling Club yesterday.
Club manager Sanjeevan Nair said the green was not in a playable condition, which resulted in the cancellation of the tournament.
He said the turnout was also affected by the weather.
"We inspected the greens and saw it was not in the condition to play so we cancelled the games," Nair said. "The turnout was also poor as many didn't come because of the wet weather."
The Tamavua Singles was aimed to give players a good build-up for the Raj Charan National Singles next week.
