THE Na Domo singing competition judges will be working closely with the 16 competitors this week as they prepare for the second round of eliminations on Tuesday.
Competition co-ordinator Epi Fong said judges wanted to step in and help the competitors with their song selection because they weren't happy with this area in the first round of eliminations last Tuesday.
"For the benefit of the competitors, the judges are availing themselves to help them with their performance," he said.
"There were some competitors the judges felt did not choose the right song that suited their vocal range and tone."
Mr Fong said there would also be another change next week, in which competitors aren't allowed to sing the same songs.
"That was one problem we faced on Tuesday, we had more than one competitor singing the same song," he said.
"We want it to be different this time so a list of songs has been given to each competitor where they are expected to choose a song of their choice.
"Selection is on first come, first served basis and the judges will also be available to give their advice on what they think about the selection," Mr Fong said.
This Tuesday will see only 14 competitors advance to the final elimination round as two soloists and one group will be eliminated.
The judges earlier commended competitors for their original numbers.
The Na Domo singing competition semi finals will be on October 26 while the grand finale will be on October 27.
