ALL eyes will be on inspirational Naitasiri captain Senivalati Vunibola when he leads the side against Suva in the Farebrother-Sullivan Trophy clash at Churchill Park this afternoon.
The 40-year-old warrior will be the oldest player in the match.
Vunibola, who created history last year by donning the Fiji 7s jumper at 39 years, is on the verge of ending his provincial career.
However, the robust lock has shown no signs of slowing down.
He is one of the five surviving members of the team that beat Suva in the Farebrother Trophy challenge back in 2009. The others include Kolinio Vunaki, Sireli Kaloucava, Inoke Tuisese and Nemani Vecenayawa.
Naitasiri team manager Asaeli Nakatasavu said Vunibola had always given his best for Naitasiri.
"Senivalati has played a few games in the Digicel Cup and he is back for the Farebrother," Nakatasavu said.
"He will be leading the pack tomorrow and will give his best for his provincial team."
Yesterday the Naitasiri team was forced to cut short their captain's run at Churchill Park after the side arrived late to the venue. The side trained without Reverend Joji Rinakama who was tied up with personal commitments in Suva.
Despite the minor setbacks the Naitasiri side looked to be in high spirits and confident of a good outing against Suva.
Nakatasavu said they had come to Lautoka prepared and they would be adopting an open pattern.
"We are looking forward to the match and the boys have prepared well," Nakatasavu said.
"The fitness level is right and the boys have been training for the past four weeks. We hope to put on a few surprises. Suva plays a forward oriented game."
Suva has made one change to the starting XV that defeated Nadroga last week. Out of the team is blind side flanker Lemeki Damu. He has been replaced by Josefa Levula.
The match kicks off at 3pm.
