THE Nasinu Football Association has allowed its loyal fans to select their skipper for the Inter District Championship in Ba next week.
Four players are in the squad were short-listed and posted on the team's Facebook Page where the fans can cast their votes.
Goalkeeper Ulaiasi Tamanisau, Nathan Kumar, Kaushik Kumar and centre back Anish Kumar were the four experienced players short-listed for the top job.
Anish currently leads the poll and looks certain to lead Nasinu in Ba. Defender Nathan is second and stopper Tamanisau is third on the latest poll.
Nasinu vice-president Ravinesh Murti said it was better for the fans to decide who to captain the team.
"We have four experienced players in the team and we thought that it will be wise to let our fans decide the captain for us," he said.
"Right now Anish is leading the count, he is one of our key players and he has that experience that is needed in the team. We got Nathan, Ulaiasi and Kaushik there too so leadership is not a problem."
Murti thanked the Nasinu Football Club from Sydney for assisting the team financially.
"We have are thankful to everyone that have helped us, we are boosted with heir help and we hope to go down and give our best shot to repay their trust in us," he said.
Nasinu plays Taveuni in their opening match at 11am next Wednesday.
