TWO new teams have joined the Raiwaqa Volleyball Association and will play their first matches in the 2012 season today.

RVA official Erami Rasaubale said Fiji National Provident Fund and Saints had confirmed registration and would participate in this weekend's round of competition.

Rasaubale said apart from FNPF and Saints, other teams had shown interest in the RVA competition this season.

"We still give teams that want to join our competition the opportunity to join," Rasaubale said.

"At the moment we are still working with the men's competition but we can accommodate a women's competition if teams come and register at the court."

Rasaubale said games start at 9am at Ed's Court and they would not tolerate late starts.

"We will start on time and teams not at the court when their game is called will lose points.

"We want to teach our teams the importance of following the competition program and this is one way of passing on the message," Rasaubale said.
