IDC boost
THE Nadi soccer side has been boosted with a sponsorship ahead of the Courts Inter District Championship in Ba next week. Fairdeal Earthmoving Contractors Limited will sponsor the Nadi side. The team is pooled with Suva, Savusavu, Rewa and Ba. Nadi last won the IDC title back in 2002.
Pillay joins Blues
2008 winning team manager Karuna Pillay is back to help the Shop n Save Lautoka team during IDC at Govind Park next week. Pillay has been reappointed as the manager. Lautoka Football Association president Shalendra Prasad said former team officials had also volunteered to lend a helping hand. Lautoka will kick off their IDC campaign against Nadroga next Wednesday.
Quiet build-up
THE Ba Football Association has opted to keep a low profile ahead of the IDC. The Men in Black have been in camp since the final National Football League match against Tavua. When contacted yesterday, team manager Arvind Singh said the side had been preparing well but referred all other questions to BFA president Rishi Kumar who could not be reached for comments.
