THE Suva area experienced a number of water supply disruptions this week.

Areas affected included Delainavesi, Knollys St, Queen Elizabeth Drive, Nailuva Rd and the Wairua area.

In a statement, the Water Authority of Fiji (WAF) said the disruptions were due to more burst mains and new installations.

Parts of Knollys St experienced water supply disruptions following the installation of a new water valve at Marion St.

Because of this, the affected areas were Marion St, Riley St, Disraeli Rd, Holland St and Pender St.

Work on Nailuva Rd and Hamilton-Beattie St were completed and water was restored to residences in the area.

Meanwhile, the burst water main on Queen Elizabeth Drive is still under repair.

It is expected to affect water supply to Charlton Avenue, Storck St, Kumi Rd, Turners Cres and Vuya Rd.
