FIVE men and a juvenile have been charged with raping a 14-year-old girl in Naitasiri between January and December in 2010.
The men and a 17-year-old juvenile appeared before judge Justice Salesi Temo at the High Court in Suva.
Defence lawyer Aseri Vakaloloma asked the court whether the accused could be charged separately because they allegedly raped the same complainant on different occasions.
"This is a roll over charge and is not a gang rape and the alleged offence occurred from January to December in 2010," said Mr Vakaloloma.
He told the court the incidents occurred when the girl was in Class Seven; she is now 16 years old.
Mr Vakaloloma said the matter had been transferred from the Nausori Court to the High Court in Suva. He also submitted a bail application for the six accused.
Justice Temo ordered that the six fill out a bail surety form and not leave the country until the case is completed.
"I'm glad that all the accused have turned up to my court today," he said.
"All accused are to be remanded in custody until they fill the High Court bail form." The case has been adjourned to February 6 next year.
