A 27-YEAR-old man appeared in the Suva Magistrates Court for disorderly conduct in a police station.

Ravneel Raj, 27, is also charged with two counts of annoying any person.

He appeared before Magistrate Sufia Hamza.

The court heard that at 5.35pm on September 2, Samabula Police Station received a report that Mr Raj was causing trouble at home.

Two police officers from Raiwaqa Police Station went to attend to the report. It is alleged that Mr Raj was drunk and allegedly swore at one of the officers, namely Manoa Vuki, when they approached him.

The court heard that when taken to the Samabula Police Station, Mr Raj allegedly swore at a female officer, Shobhna Devi, who was on duty.

Mr Raj was allegedly shouting and swearing when brought into the station.

Yesterday, the charge was read out and understood by the accused.

Ms Hamza released the accused on strict bail conditions.

The case has been adjourned to October 5 when Mr Raj's plea will be taken.
