YOUTHS of Nawi in Cakaudrove are part of a three-day youth empowerment workshop organised by the Ministry of Youth and Sports to train them on managing their welfare.
Nawi Village headman Lui Lasaqa thanked the ministry for visiting the youths as this was a form of enlightenment for them.
Nawi youth president Bonevasio Raikaloa lauded the turnout, saying it was overwhelming to see a huge turnout. "We hope to form a registered youth group after this three-day training to manage our welfare and development," he said.
Principal youth officer Northern Amele Navunicagi said the workshop was aimed at empowering youths and giving them an idea of the chances and the opportunities they had.
