Champs bank on reps

THE Sigatoka Electric-sponsored Central College team will be relying on their district reps to create history during the Courts Inter District Championship in Ba next weekend.

Leisari Qalica (Lautoka), Rusiate Matirerega (Nadi) and Napolioni Qasevakatini (Nadi) will spearhead Central College's campaign during the tournament.

The Lautoka-based side recorded back-to-back wins during the Tuckers Ice Cream Fiji Secondary Schools Soccer Championship in Ba in August.

Central College goes into the IDC as the defending champion. If the side is able to successfully defend the IDC title then Central College will become the first secondary school in the history of Fiji soccer to win the FSSSC and the IDC title back-to-back.

Central College coach Roneel Sharma said they had been preparing well for the tournament.

"We have retained the squad that participated in the FSSSC," Sharma said.
