FORMER coach Lambert Sarju has been brought back to guide the Lautoka soccer side in the upcoming Courts Inter District Championship in Ba.

Sarju was the interim coach before he was sent on leave after the players signed a petition calling for the removal of president Shalendra Prasad who had just returned from a leave of absence earlier last month. Prasad said Sarju would work voluntarily.

He said Sarju was the best person as he had been guiding the team recently.

"The boys are familiar with Sarju," Prasad said.

"There is a lot of work to be done in a short span of time. The players have been working on their fitness level. Now Sarju will work on the combinations. "Many people believe that we are in an easy pool. However, there are no easy pools during the tournaments. Anything can happen during the 60 minutes game.

"The team will march into camp from tomorrow (today). We are still looking for sponsors to support the team for the IDC."
