A driver alleged to have caused the death of a 20-year-old woman in Sigatoka last weekend has been released on bail.
The man appeared in the Sigatoka Magistrates Court on Monday charged with dangerous driving occasioning death and failing to comply with procedures after an accident.
The 34-year-old man has been ordered to surrender his passport and any other documents while following strict bail conditions. The case has been adjourned to October 31.
Meanwhile, four people appeared in the Nadi Magistrates Court earlier this week in relation to a spate of robberies and break-ins in Nadi.
The men have been charged with aggravated robbery, aggravated burglary, theft and assault.
They were allegedly involved in a string of robberies at hotels where about $3000 in cash and items were stolen over the past few weeks.
The men have been denied bail and will reappear in court on Friday.
