LONDON - Australian international Brett Holman has overcome injury to produce a strong performance for Aston Villa.

The Sydney-born midfielder who wears number 14 for the English Premier League club was in doubt for yesterday's home-ground match after suffering a midweek knee injury.

But his last-minute inclusion for line-up against the competition's sixth-place West Brom, helped keep the pressure on in a 1-1 result.

Dominating possession in the first-half, Holman had two shots at goal but was denied on both occasions by West Brom keeper Ben Foster.
