AIRPORT Medical Centre will begin operations at Nadi International Airport on October 15.
Centre director Dr Kanna Goundar said it would operate on a 24-hour, seven-day a week basis and provide general practice and emergency services. "When opened it will be staffed with two doctors and a nursing team.
"The clinic is equipped with overnight facilities for patients," said Dr Goundar.
The centre will operate out of the Operations Building adjacent to the Nadi terminal.
"This is a major step forward for the airport ensuring that passengers, AFL employees, and the general public will have access to quality medical services," said Lawrence Liew, AFL general manager airports.
