SAMABULA power striker Issa Sanni netted seven goals in two games as he helped his side record back-to-back victories during the Suva Local League competition at Albert Park yesterday.
Sanni was in super form in the opening game when Samabula edged Wailoku Sports 4-3. The Nigerian strike sensation grabbed a hat-trick and found the back of the net four times in their second match against Balolo.
Samabula thumped Balolo 7-1.
Suva district reps Joseph Mishra, Leone Damudamu, Sedrick Datt scored a goal each against Balolo. Mishra also put his name on the scoreboard against Wailoku.
Suva's Solomon imports Ralph Sherwin and Luke Ha'atera featured strongly for Wailoku but could not do enough to beat the star studded Samabula side.
Samabula beat Central Meads 6-1 during their Saturday's match.
Suva Local League committee Niranjan Prasad said they would continue the league next week.
"Our local league has been running very smoothly and we are happy with the progress so far. Next week we will continue again and we are hoping to finish the league after the IDC tournament," Prasad said.
He said Sanni was in top form.
"He (Sanni) scored three goals in the first game and four in the second match. He played really well," Prasad added.
