SUVA lawyer Feizal Haniff scored 67 nett to win the men's A grade during the Fiji Golf Club monthly medal at the Vatuwaqa golf course on Saturday.
The 18-hole event, sponsored by Telecom Fiji Limited, attracted 72 golfers who were greeted by overcast weather conditions on competition day, despite the heavy rain in the capital city during the week.
Harron Ali, the Bank of the South Pacific executive and former FGC captain Baskaran Nair finished in second and third respectively in the grade after a countback. Ali, Nair and three other golfers were tied on 69.
William Naisara, who has been in consistent form, claimed the B grade category. The Ministry of Youth and Sports deputy director scored a 62 nett, shrugging off a strong challenge by SH Park who settled in second place with 64. Jin Byung Chul won the third prize on countback at 71.
Foster's Group chief executive Michael Spencer won the C grade with a score of 66.
Suva businessman Eric Shandil and Water Authority of Fiji chief executive Opetaia Ravai were placed second and third on 68 and 69 respectively.
Ufemia Naisara, 71 nett and Kamini Lata Singh, 72 nett won women's division.
