POLICE One scooped the women's grade title in the Security Forces Volleyball Association (SFVA) knockout tournament at the Suva Grammar School courts in Nasese last Saturday.

The law enforcers defeated Army by two straight sets to snatch the crown from the holders Corrections.

In the men's grade, the second semi-final match between Army One and Army Two was abandoned after it started getting dark.

Both teams were locked 1-all.

In the first semis, Immigration One defeated Immigration Two 2-1.

SFVA assistant secretary Viliame Waqavuka said they would continue with their men's competition on the coming Saturday when they travel to Sigatoka to play in the Nadroga Volleyball Association club competition.

He said the women's grade finalist would also travel with them to Sigatoka.

"We will continue with the Army One versus Army Two match in Sigatoka and the winner will take on Immigration Two to decide the men's grade champion," Waqavuka said.

"We don't know what Nadroga Volleyball Association has in store for us. They invited us to play in their club competition and we are responding by taking five teams there."

Waqavuka was impressed with the level of competition adding the teams came prepared for the knockout meet.
