TOP teams in the Touch Fiji weekly competition are on track to solidify their quarter-finals berths.

Raiwaqa Flyers, Browning Bombers and First Touch recorded their fourth straight wins in the Extreme Solutions-sponsored competition at Toorak’s Furnival Park yesterday.

Flyers beat Super Touch 5-2, Bombers thrashed Roosters 8-3 and First Touch demolished the Flamingos 10-4 in the men’s super premier competition despite wet and muddy conditions.

Games committee official Inoke Tiko said the three teams would be hard to beat as they were the most experienced teams in the competition.

“This was a round four competition and these three teams have not lost a single game so far,” Tiko said.

“So we can say these teams will be difficult to beat and they are on track for the quarter-finals.”

He said it would take a lot of hard work to beat Flyers, Bombers and First Touch in the later stages of the competition.

“These teams have been in the top for a long time and they know what they need to do on the field to win.”

He said despite the early morning rain, teams and players adjusted to the ground conditions and displayed good rugby.
