THE Best Promotions/Sadai Auto Spares Fiji team was held to a scoreless draw by a strong Canadian outfit during the second round of the FANCA Muslim tournament in Nadi on Thursday night.
The Fiji team, with Siga Ali, failed to find the back of the net despite creating many scoring opportunities.
Fiji team manager Mohammed Hafiz said Canada gave them a tough time.
He said the soggy ground conditions prevented either side from displaying constructive soccer.
"We will need to improve our finishing," Hafiz said.
"Canada has a good side and they gave us a tough time. We missed our chances and will have to sharpen our attack."
In the opening round, Canada upset defending champion New Zealand 2-1. In another round two encounter, the US beat Australia 2-1.
Today at 6.45pm, the US will face New Zealand while at 8pm Fiji takes on Australia.
The two top teams after the round robin competition will face off in the final at Prince Charles Park tomorrow.
